64 Companies Clinch Best Environment Awards

KARACHI, August 31: Sixty four companies operating in Pakistan clinched environment excellence awards and four organizations, including DMC East, Karachi, won best tree plantation awards for their innovative work on environment conservation and cleanliness.
The awards were presented to the winners at the 12th Annual Environment Excellence Awards ceremony and seminar on Urbanization & Environment, organized by National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH) in collaboration with Ministry of Youth Affairs Sindh, at a local hotel.
Senator Taj Haider, Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Commissioner Karachi distributed awards among the winners. FPCCI’s Standing Committee on Environment’s Chairman Gulzar Firoz, NFEH President Muhmmad Naeem Qureshi, Environment Department Sindh’s former secretary Shamsul Haq Memon, noted environmentalist Afia Salam and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
